This, as far as I know, is actually near the end...I'm burning down Interstate 5 reaching speeds of 100 mph in a sleek black Hyundai Sonata. I say "a" Sonata rather than "my" Sonata because it's just a rent-a-car - an Advantage Rent a Car to be precise. I have no intention of returning the car....It's just me and the Universe - the open road. It is of no interest to me whether or not others think I am practical and sane because I'm serving a Cause and everything that burns up before me - the road, the gas, the money, the credit cards - are, just as well, subject to that Cause.
I've already burned out of Seattle, Washington. I leave behind me a safe and comfortable flight back to the east coast. I'm free. The stringent rules of the world are behind me. My bondage, my fears, my insecurities - everything worthy of being left behind is behind me (at least for now). I believe that my car has some sort of gps tracking system so that the police can retrieve the car in case I don't return it - at least this is what the Advantage customer service lady has told me...so I'm racing against time....
